MANILA, Philippines — The Japanese authorities turned over on Tuesday a $62,247 (about P3.6 million) meals processing coaching middle in Bombon, Camarines Sur to assist native farmers construct capability.

The Japanese Embassy in Manila offered the grant to the Pilipinas Shell Basis, Inc., which is able to lead the capacity-building applications for beneficiary farmers.

The grant covers the development of a coaching facility and procurement of coaching tools, and is anticipated to extend product values and the revenue of farmers in 10 goal communities within the province.

In accordance with the embassy, the common revenue of farmers within the province stays low, partly as a result of a lot of them don’t possess post-harvest processing abilities.

Japanese Embassy 2nd Secretary Nishimura Tokiko attended the turnover ceremony for the venture, along with Pilipinas Shell Basis government director Sebastian Quiniones Jr., former Vice President Leni Robredo, and different dignitaries.

In her message, Nishimura underscored the significance of farmers and the necessity to work collectively to make sure “a powerful, sustainable, and resilient agricultural sector.”
