Pilot killed in midair aircraft collision in Los Angeles County

A pilot was killed after two small-engine planes collided in midair over Lancaster on Sunday afternoon, officers stated.

Federal authorities stated Sunday that they have been trying into the crash, which a Los Angeles County sheriff’s spokesperson stated occurred about 12:50 p.m.

Firefighters arrived on the scene of a downed aircraft close to forty seventh Road East and Avenue F about 1:20 p.m., stated L.A. County Hearth Capt. Sheila Kelliher-Berkoh. A second downed plane was close to sixtieth Road East and Avenue G, Kelliher-Berkoh stated.
