UAE-Japan subcommittee on political diplomacy and worldwide cooperation holds second session – World

Senior officers from the Ministries of International Affairs of United Arab Emirates and Japan met on Tuesday for the second session of the subcommittee on political diplomacy and worldwide cooperation, as a part of the Complete Strategic Partnership Initiative introduced in 2022.

The digital assembly was chaired by Lana Zaki Nusseibeh, Assistant Minister of International Affairs for Political Affairs, and Ando Toshihide, Assistant Minister of International Affairs and Director-Basic of the Center East and Africa Bureau.

Lana Nusseibeh emphasised the energy of the bilateral relationship, as either side reviewed the substantive progress that had been made lately to additional broaden the deepen bilateral ties.

Either side welcomed the launch of CEPA negotiations and look ahead to attain a profitable, bold, and well-balanced financial partnership settlement between Japan and the UAE that can improve bilateral financial relations, significantly by increasing commerce, funding, and cooperation in different areas.

Through the assembly, the political discussions centered on key regional points, together with ongoing conflicts in Gaza, Lebanon, and Sudan.
